Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Current Illinois Nursing License
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses for our Medical Surgical units. The ideal candidate will utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide quality care for patients. Responsibilities include:

• Administering prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, established policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws.
• Documenting patient care according to standards of care.
• Developing, initiating, and executing individualized patient care plans according to physician orders and hospital policy, including instructions for patients and families.
• Participating in departmental or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Providing clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
• Utilizing critical thinking with regards to patient safety and experience, appropriately escalating concerns to the relevant chain of command.
