Tax Manager - PublicOur growing, CPA firm client has an immediate need for a Tax Manager.Essential Functions and Primary DutiesManage staff on engagement deliverables such strategic reviews of complex federal and state income returns for individuals, businesses and trusts to ensure quality control standards are met; ensure on time delivery and on budgets are metUnderstand the client's organization, procedures and internal policiesResponsible for new client development in partnership with upper management; participate in client meetings, presentations and proposal development and meet individual cross serveManage and retain multiple client relationships, engagements and special projectsDevelop overall engagement budgetConsistently meet charge hour goalsSupervise, train and mentor staff; listen and communicate effectivelyFoster a team environment; demonstrates support of management and decisions and build a positive cultureMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related fieldMust have six or more years of experience in public accounting or related fieldMinimum of three years supervisory experience requiredMust have active CPA or equivalent certificationAbility to manage all aspects of client engagementsDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
