Location and Department Primary City/State: Goodyear, Arizona Department Name: Palm Valley-Img Ctr Work Shift: Day Job Category: Clinical Care Overview As a Mammo Tech with Banner Imaging, you'll play a vital role in women's health by performing high-quality mammography exams, including both traditional and advanced 3D mammography screenings. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing patients for their exams, positioning them correctly for optimal imaging, operating specialized mammography equipment, and ensuring patient comfort throughout the process. You'll work closely with radiologists and healthcare teams to provide accurate breast imaging that helps detect abnormalities early, while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in early cancer detection while working with state-of-the-art digital imaging technology at one of our many Banner Imaging locations. Schedule Monday – Friday 8am – 4:30pm Position Summary This position performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population. Core Functions Performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers’ orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures. Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions; fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes. Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation. Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable in accordance with established policies if applicable. Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to safety policies. Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to the radiology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information. Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services. Independently performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols to patients. Minimum Qualifications Requires national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensure by the state regulatory agency as applicable. Advance certification by accrediting body in Mammography required within 18 months of hire. BLS certification required. Roles supporting mobile medical unit require travel within local community. Preferred Qualifications CDL preferred for roles supporting mobile medical unit. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
