Job Description
\nThe Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at Albany Medical College , within the Albany Med Health System, is actively recruiting a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician to join the team. The division at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center is a multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, psychologists, speech therapists and masters level clinicians serving patients from our catchment area of 25 counties surrounding the Capital District of New York.
\nFunctions of our team include:
\n- \n
- Diagnostic assessments and medical management of patients up to 21 years of age with the broad range of developmental concerns including:\n
- \n
- Autism Spectrum Disorder \n
- Developmental delays \n
- ADHD \n
- Learning disorders \n
- Behavioral health disorders including anxiety \n
- Neonatal follow up \n
\n - Partnering with pediatric practitioners including psychiatry, general pediatrics, neurology and genetics \n
- Recent practice innovations include a Medical Home for children with ASD, the development of a feeding team and a fast track developmental screening for children under age 5. \n
Successful candidates should possess:
\n- \n
- Board certification or board eligibility in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics \n
- Interest in developing innovative programming within the scope of DB practice \n
- Experience or interest in teaching house staff and medical students \n
- Strong dedication to providing high-quality, patient centered care across diverse populations \n
Competitive salary range for Assistant Professor commensurate with experience: $183,000- Salary for higher academic rank to be addressed at time of interview.
