Maintenance Mechanic 2 - 1st Shift

PCI Pharma Services seeks a Maintenance Mechanic 2 for first-shift work in Rockford, Illinois. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, and repairing pharmaceutical packaging equipment while maintaining safety and quality standards in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and non-routine adjustments on packaging lines to ensure product quality
Execute preventive maintenance, changeovers, repairs, and running adjustments on equipment
Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement solutions to improve reliability
Collaborate with departments and team members to maintain efficient line operations
Read equipment manuals and work orders; document setup configurations and audit centerline systems

Requirements

2-3 years applicable maintenance experience in manufacturing or equivalent technical school
Proficiency in skill testing at approved grade level for position
Basic mathematical and computer skills; ability to operate common programs
Professional communication and reading comprehension abilities
Ability to interpret instructions and solve practical problems with limited standardization
Packaging equipment experience preferred

Compensation: $24.58-$29.19/hour plus annual performance bonus eligibility
