Transport Driver

Responsible for safely driving a commercial motor vehicle over established route to deliver dairy products, providing excellent customer service.

Essential duties and responsibilities include delivering dairy products safely and on time to customers, providing excellent customer service to ensure customer retention, safely operating an electric pallet jack and being certified, rotating and removing out of date, damaged, or unsellable product, picking up all empty milk crates and pallets, resolving discrepancies and minor customer issues, ensuring all paperwork is signed and store stamped, complying with DOT regulations and company policy, maintaining assigned truck in a neat and clean condition, and other duties as assigned.

Basic requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a commercial driver's license (CDL) class A, customer service or sales experience preferred, and being at least 21 years old as routes may cross state lines.

Competencies include communication, accountability, customer focused, initiative, problem-solving, and collaboration.

Physical demands include sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing, standing, stooping, walking, reaching, bending, extending, climbing, pulling, and lifting 50-60 pounds, and frequently lifting milk cases weighing up to 55 pounds and pushing/pulling stacks of milk weighing 250-300 pounds using provided equipment.

Work environment may require working in the cooler room with varying degrees of temperature, contact with water or dairy liquids, and exposed to a noise level of 90 decibels with moderate/high noise levels and wet/slippery work conditions.
