Role Description This on-site role, located in Delta Junction, AK, is for a Primary Care Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant providing direct patient care in a community clinic setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive outpatient visits, managing acute and chronic conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and coordinating care with behavioral health, pharmacy, and other services. The role involves delivering patient education, preventive care, and health promotion tailored to a rural and diverse population, while documenting care in accordance with regulatory and quality standards. The clinician will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, participate in care coordination and quality improvement activities, and support the organization’s faith-based mission in a respectful, non-discriminatory manner. Qualifications Current licensure and certification as a Primary Care Physician (MD/DO), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA), with eligibility to practice in Alaska. Clinical skills in primary and urgent care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of acute and chronic conditions across the lifespan. Ability to work effectively in a rural, resource-limited setting, demonstrating sound clinical judgment, adaptability, and comfort with a broad scope of practice. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building trust with patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and engaging with the local community. Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care, including serving individuals with diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and faith backgrounds. Experience with electronic health records, documentation, and adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards in ambulatory care.
