We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support bankruptcy and litigation matters in an in-office setting for a financial services company in Henderson, Nevada. This role is ideal for someone who can manage deadlines, maintain organized case files, and provide dependable administrative support to legal counsel. The position requires strong written communication, sound judgment, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage court calendars and track critical filing dates to help ensure matters progress on schedule.

• Prepare, revise, and proofread legal documents, including retention materials and fee-related submissions for courts in multiple jurisdictions.

• Examine potential conflicts involving related parties and assist with internal clearance procedures.

• Maintain accurate, well-organized case records and supporting documentation for ongoing legal matters.

• Review employee time and expense submissions for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal standards.

• Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to attorneys and legal team members as needed.

• Support electronic filing activities and help coordinate court submissions for bankruptcy and civil litigation matters.

• Contribute to additional assignments and special projects while responding effectively to direction from counsel and leadership.

• At least 3 years of experience in a legal assistant role, preferably supporting bankruptcy or litigation matters.
• Hands-on familiarity with court filings, e-filing procedures, and litigation calendar management.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with careful attention to proofreading and document accuracy.
• General comfort with accounting concepts and basic mathematical review related to legal billing or expense entries.
• Associate degree or paralegal certificate preferred.
• Ability to learn new processes quickly, follow direction well, and remain organized in a deadline-driven office environment.
