Job Description
As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential support to elderly patients in their homes, assisting with daily living activities to maintain their comfort and independence. You will work closely with a healthcare team including RN's, HHAs, CNAs, and PCAs, focusing on delivering compassionate and attentive care.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with medication management and reminders
- Support personal hygiene activities, including showering and grooming
- Provide mobility assistance to enhance patient safety and comfort
- Prepare meals and help with household tasks as needed
- Document care provided and any changes in patient condition
- Respond quickly and appropriately in emergency situations
- Facilitate patient appointments and coordinate communication with the healthcare team
- Maintain effective communication with patients and families
- Deliver compassionate home care tailored to elderly patients’ needs
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in home health care
- Certification from a Home Health Aide (HHA) training program or experience counts as well.
- Strong patient assistance and personal care skills
- Excellent communication and time management abilities
- Compassionate approach with attention to detail
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy
