The Role Investment Sales Associate (ISA) is the entry role to our extensive, multi-year Investment Sales Desk Development Program (ISDP). As part of the Fidelity Institutional (FI) - Intermediary Investment Client Group, we offer a collaborative, competitive and high energy sales environment. The Expertise We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree Series 7 & Series 63 licenses required (may be attained in role) Experience in financial services and sales is helpful, but not required Commitment to growing technical knowledge of the financial industry Passion for capital markets and investment products Aptitude and dedication for constant learning and self‑improvement Team player, confident, and self‑motivated Excellent communicator, excited to engage clients Appreciate the challenge of working in a goal and results oriented environment As an Investment Sales Associate (ISA) Your primary responsibility will be consulting with financial advisor clients via phone and Zoom. You will provide valuable market insight, investment product overviews, and portfolio construction ideas to help financial advisors achieve their client’s financial goals. You will have the opportunity to grow your foundational knowledge of the financial industry. The Investment Sales Development Program is a multi-year development program that is crafted with several distinct phases to help you grow your foundational knowledge of the financial industry while developing vital skills. In each phase you will be working with our intermediary clients to influence the sale of our investment products. As you develop your skill sets, you will earn the opportunity to interview for merit‑based promotion, based on exhibited command of competencies. The Three Phases Within The Program Licensing, training, and supporting financial advisor investment product inquiries Pro‑active client engagement to initiate new client relationships and sales opportunities Sales territory ownership with an external sales partner, to drive investment product sales Skills Throughout the 12-18 months of the ISA Role and then in further stages of the development program, you will focus on building the following skills & knowledge: Capital Market and Investment Product Knowledge Sales Process and Sales Territory Management Consultative Presentation Capabilities Financial Advisor and Intermediary Eco‑System The Skills You Bring Your robust consultative selling, influencing and communication skills A learner mindset, with determination for extensive skill development Ability to develop technical depth in financial markets and investment product Additive (or leader) to a competitive, collaborative, energized team Organized, with ability to multitask, prioritize, and adjust to change Proven capability to be proactive and demonstrate initiative Receptive to feedback and coaching Thrive in team‑based sales environment Take initiative and strive to exceed expectations You provide valuable market insight, consult on portfolio construction, and leverage investment product expertise to positively influence financial advisors getting their clients to financial independence You support our financial advisor clients in the growth and impact of their financial wellness planning and advisory practices Throughout your time with our sales development program, you will have significant opportunity to lead, mentor, be an ally, support our culture of inclusivity Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model Fidelity is transitioning to a full‑time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
