Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Shift: Weekend Warrior – Days
Shift Time: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Hours: 36 hours per week
Start Date: Monday or Wednesday starts only
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
Position SummaryWe are seeking experienced Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents in a Long-Term Care (LTC) / nursing home setting .
This is a Weekend Warrior position requiring 12-hour day shifts. The CNA will work closely with nursing staff and the healthcare team to ensure residents receive safe, respectful, and quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
- Take and accurately document vital signs as required.
- Safely reposition and transfer residents.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Observe residents and report changes in condition to nursing staff.
- Follow facility policies, care plans, and infection-control procedures.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Support residents with daily care needs while maintaining their dignity, privacy, and comfort.
- Current CNA certification required.
- Previous Long-Term Care / nursing home experience preferred.
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts .
- Weekend availability required.
- Must be able to work the designated Weekend Warrior schedule .
- NE DHHS processing is currently delayed ; candidates should be prepared for potential credentialing/licensure delays.
- Monday or Wednesday starts only.
- Overtime is not guaranteed .
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
