Job Opportunity: Licensed Audiologist
Are you a Licensed Audiologist eager to embrace a role focused on assessments? Do you find fulfillment in supporting the Veteran community? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
Position OverviewWe are seeking an Audiologist to conduct medical evaluations for United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. Veterans will submit their claims prior to your assessment, and all relevant medical records will be accessible through a digital portal for your review during appointments.
Key Responsibilities- Administer the Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test.
- Complete a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) within the computer portal, which serves as essential medical evidence for the VA's decision-making regarding benefits.
- Assess and review an average of 3-6 Veterans daily.
- Note: This role does not involve prescribing medical treatments or devices.
This is an IN-PERSON position with options for Part-Time or Full-Time work. Each patient appointment lasts between 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes. Enjoy a schedule free from evenings, on-call duties, weekends, and hearing aid sales.
Qualifications- Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from an ASHA Accredited institution.
- Current Audiologist license.
- Compliance with the credentialing standards established by the VA.
- Malpractice insurance provided by our organization.
- Health insurance options available.
- Membership to ASHA Learning Pass for continuing education units (CEUs).
