Experienced 26ft Box Truck Driver-3rd Shift

Caruso is a family owned, 4th generation company that delivers fresh ready‑to‑eat, and pre‑cut produce, sandwiches, salads, and fresh meal kits to retail distribution centers and direct‑to‑retail stores all over the USA. Job Summary The Route Driver is the face of the company and must always project a professional and positive image of Caruso while maintaining and building excellent customer relationships. This person is responsible for the safe operation of a motor vehicle and safely pick up and drop off items to customers so that the customer is given an excellent service experience. This person must maintain compliance with all company policies/procedures and DOT regulations. Deliveries start between 8:00 pm and 9:30 pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday; the driver must be flexible with pick‑up times and work a 13‑hour shift covering Bloomington, IL, Peoria, IL, and Woodridge. Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Operate a company provided CMV. Deliver products to our customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner. Follow routes and time schedule. Load, unload and deliver to customer specifications and obtain required customer sign‑offs. Establish and maintain outstanding relationships with customers. Review and verify invoices and purchase requests to ensure accuracy. Complete DVIR’s (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report). Follow safety and lifting protocols during deliveries. Maintain delivery logs and records. Follow DOT regulations and safety standards. Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have 12 months of verifiable 18‑ft to 26‑ft box truck driving experience in the last 3 years. A good driving record including none of the following: Reckless driving DUI/OMVI Hit and run Excessive speed as defined by DOT (15+ miles over) No more than two moving violations within the last 24 months. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to work and drive in all types of weather. Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
