Position titleButte County Home VisitorDescriptionTREC-Badlands Head Start is seeking a high-energy, self-motivated, and professional individual to serve as a Head Start Home Visitor in Butte County.This position works with children ages 3-5 and their families through a home-based model, providing support, resources, and connections to comprehensive Head Start services. The Home Visitor helps implement all Head Start services and regulations for their assigned caseload.The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and development, strong communication skills, the ability to work successfully with a multidisciplinary team, and experience working with families from diverse backgrounds. A valid driver's license and travel with an agency vehicle are required. Computer experience is also required.Applicants must have at least one year of experience working with children and families in a formal setting.This position is estimated at 40 hours per week for 38 weeks per year.Minimum qualifications include an AA degree in Early Childhood or Human Services, completion of Child Development Associate coursework, or willingness to complete a CDA within two years of hire. Equivalent experience may also be considered. TREC-Badlands Head Start is willing to train the right individual and offers paid educational opportunities.Preference will be given to applicants with Head Start, home visitation, or other relevant experience. Applicants are subject to background checks and drug screening.TREC-Badlands Head Start offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
