Provide emergent/urgent patient care under the direction of medical staff Perform basic patient care activities within the scope of practice Assist patients with emotional, physical, and spiritual needs Report abnormal findings or changes in patients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions Greet patients and visitors Answer, screen, and route telephone calls Call codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested Perform technical procedures delegated by medical staff, including ECGs, splinting, and specimen collection Keep unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly Work three 12-hour shifts per week with weekend and holiday rotation Requirements Hands-on experience leading a team Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and support skills Ability to be flexible and shift priorities quickly Strong attention to detail Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification registered with the Maine Registry of Certified Nursing Assistants and Direct Care Workers, or Licensed EMT with the Maine Department of Public Safety (DPS) required Core Competencies Demonstrates proficiency in providing emergent patient care and performing technical procedures under medical supervision.
