Construction Program Manager

Job Summary Oversee and support construction program development and implementation for all capital projects undertaken by Project Engineering and Execution Americas. The Program Manager, Construction, Project Execution serves as a vital link by ensuring proper planning, staffing, and execution of construction for capital projects. Why Messer? Principal Responsibilities Promote a culture where all employee and contractor behaviors demonstrate care for themselves, others, and the environment. Drive continuous improvement in Project Engineering and Execution for construction. Develop, maintain, update, implement, and staff the construction program for Capital Projects, recruiting, training, scheduling, and reviewing outsourced resources. Develop and improve standard practices for construction of plants, leveraging knowledge of ASU and CO2 facilities to ensure due diligence before handover to commissioning. Support the Proposal team in developing Project Definition and Execution Strategies related to plant construction. Participate in PSR4, PSR5, and PSSR processes as required. Assist the Director of Large CAP Project Execution in identifying gaps in construction practices and processes, driving solutions and best practices. Provide input and support the development of construction supervision training; conduct training as needed. Develop, implement, and oversee QA/QC processes related to construction of plants. Oversee individual plant construction efforts (approximately 50% of time). Other responsibilities as assigned. Required Skills Degree or apprenticeship in an appropriate field; construction management degree preferred. 10 years of construction-related experience in the Chemical Process Industries or other relevant industry. Experience with construction safety practices and procedures. Understanding and experience with QA/QC theory and application. Mastery of construction processes, systems, tools, and application. Knowledge of large industrial gas operations preferred. Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of project and operations teams. Basic Qualifications Degree or apprenticeship in an appropriate field. 10 years of construction-related experience in the Chemical Process Industries or other relevant industry. Benefits Salary range: $118,000 - $157,000.
