Outpatient Oncology Long-Term Assignment Infusion Coverage

365 Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for a long-term locum opportunity in Plymouth, Indiana . This assignment is focused on outpatient oncology and infusion coverage across two locations, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role while helping build and grow a new service line.

Schedule Model

Monday Friday
8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Evening/night call coverage required
No weekend clinic responsibilities

Coverage Needed

Start ASAP

Long-term assignment (minimum 6 months)
Ongoing coverage with potential for locum-to-perm transition

Practice Overview

Outpatient Hematology/Oncology practice
Coverage split between two locations:
Plymouth (2 days/week)
Mishawaka (3 days/week)
Average 30 patients per day
Adult and geriatric patient population
EMR: Epic

Clinical Scope

Outpatient Hematology and Oncology care (50/50 split)
Infusion center coverage
Chemotherapy administration oversight
Bone marrow biopsy procedures
Management of vascular access devices (VAD/CV catheters)
Participation in tumor board discussions

Clinical Responsibilities

Evaluate and manage oncology and hematology patients
Develop treatment plans and oversee chemotherapy regimens
Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostics
Collaborate with oncology nursing and infusion teams
Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board
Provide evening call coverage for patient needs

Growing oncology service line
Collaborative multidisciplinary oncology team
Infusion-focused outpatient setting

Qualifications

Board Certified in Hematology and/or Oncology (with demonstrated competency in both)
Active Indiana license or IMLC with LOQ
BLS certification
Willingness to commit to long-term assignment
Clean malpractice and background history
NPDB Self-Query report required
