Family Support Educator, Lead - West

Position Summary The Family Support Educator - Lead provides expert field-based leadership to a geographical team of Family Support Educators (FSEs). The team serves as a dedicated point of contact to Rett families for on-label clinical education questions regarding disease state and product education, ensuring alignment across key stakeholders. Field-based; up to 70% travel. Primary Responsibilities Lead a team of FSEs to educate on disease state, product, and ongoing therapy management Lead execution of strategic and tactical initiatives Primary escalation point for FSE issues; primary point of contact for Regional Directors, National Sales Director, AIR team, MSL team, and Case Management/Hub leadership Provide expert knowledge and insights to internal stakeholders to address educational gaps and enhance disease state and therapy management resources for patient families/caregivers Demonstrate deep knowledge of disease state, product, and Acadia Customer Support Programs (e.g., Hub and Patient Assistance Programs, ambassador speaker programs) Establish relationships with local/regional/national advocacy groups Identify education messaging needs and lead development of approved compliant resolution plans with a cross-functional team Collaborate with the Rare Disease National Director on FSE training/onboarding, patient support services initiatives, team inception/evolution, and performance metrics Develop and mentor team members; oversee personnel actions (hiring, performance management, promotions); ensure actions comply with company policies/values Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree; target 8 years of relevant experience (Pharmaceutical Sales/Access/National Accounts/Specialty Pharmacy/Nursing, etc.), with access/reimbursement expertise; MBA a plus Minimum 3 years of recent leadership experience Rare disease, new product launch, advocacy, Medicaid/Medicare expertise strongly preferred Required/Preferred Skills Patient-centric mindset; emotional intelligence and empathy Patient/caregiver education experience strongly preferred Strong organizational/time management; market access knowledge Demonstrated new product launch success; strong field environment knowledge Rare disease and advocacy experience strongly preferred HIPAA understanding; strong written/verbal and presentation skills Manage expenses within budget; adaptable to change; fast learner Cross-functional communication/collaboration (internally and externally) Travel up to 70%; meet third-party/local/state/federal vaccination requirements for in-person activities Physical Requirements Regular standing/walking/sitting; occasional lifting/moving up to 20 lbs; travel independently overnight and/or work after hours as needed Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $168,000–$210,000 USD Discretionary bonus and equity awards Competitive base/bonus/equity; medical/dental/vision; employer-paid life/disability/business travel/EAP; 401(k) match 1:1 up to 5%; ESPP (2-year lock-in); 15+ vacation days; 13–15 paid holidays; 10 days paid sick time; paid parental leave; tuition assistance #J-18808-Ljbffr Scorpion Therapeutics
