Who You Are You are a skilled Salesforce developer with hands‑on experience designing and building custom solutions on the Salesforce platform. You work collaboratively with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Salesforce Admins to translate complex business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions. You take ownership of your projects from conception through delivery, write clean and efficient code, and continuously seek ways to optimize performance and improve the platform. You have strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. What You Will Work On Design and develop custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative automation tools to meet business requirements Architect and implement integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and third‑party connectors Write and maintain high‑quality, well‑documented code including Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, and queueable jobs, with full awareness of Salesforce governor limits Build responsive Lightning Web Components and custom user interfaces that enhance user experience and drive adoption Develop and optimize SOQL queries and database design to ensure data integrity and platform performance Troubleshoot complex technical issues, debug code, and implement solutions in a timely manner Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements, provide technical recommendations, and ensure solutions are aligned with business goals How You Will Do Your Work As a Salesforce Developer at Justworks, results are paramount for your success and ultimately our organization’s success. Technical Excellence – The ability to write clean, maintainable, scalable code and stay current with Salesforce best practices and platform updates Problem Solving – The exercise of critical thinking, analyzing complex requirements, breaking them down into solutions, and anticipating potential issues Collaboration and Communication – The ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences, listen actively, and work effectively with cross‑functional teams Ownership and Accountability – Taking full responsibility for the quality and delivery of your work, managing your own priorities, and proactively communicating blockers Continuous Learning – Staying current with Salesforce updates, expanding technical skills, and applying new techniques to improve solutions Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of hands‑on Salesforce development experience Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and Platform Developer II preferred Proficiency with Apex, LWC, and Flow Builder Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and configuration Experience designing and implementing integrations with external systems Experience with modern source control (e.g., Git) and deployment tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, VS Code, SFDX) Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts simply Organized, detail‑oriented, with high standards for code quality and testing practices Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Technologies Used Languages & Frameworks: Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC) Databases & Query Languages: SOQL, SOSL Integration & APIs: REST APIs, third‑party connectors Development Tools: VS Code, Salesforce CLI (SFDX), Git, IDE plugins Deployment: CI/CD pipelines, metadata deployment tools The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $98,000.00 to $122,000.00 per year. Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location.
