Step into a pivotal support role as an onsite social worker for the 2026-2027 school year. In this contract position, you’ll work directly in a school setting, helping students thrive academically and emotionally. The assignment runs from August 28, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with full-time hours of 35-40 per week. While full-time availability is strongly preferred, part-time applicants will also be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Authorized Ed Tech certification in Maine is required
• Experience working as a paraprofessional in an educational setting
• Solid understanding of child and adolescent development
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, staff, and families
• Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
• Flexibility and adaptability within a team-oriented school environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students as directed
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to carry out educational and social goals
• Assist in implementing individualized education plans and behavior intervention strategies
• Track and document student progress, maintaining accurate records
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture by supporting student social-emotional wellness
• Attend required meetings and implement feedback as needed
