Shift Production Manager

Production Shift Supervisor – (Converting Operations, Team Leadership & Union Relations) Salary: $70,000–$90,000 base with weekend premiums. Schedule: rotating 12‑hour shifts (days/night) with 6 days off every 3 weeks. Location: Greater Green Bay, WI. Experience: 7–10 years manufacturing leadership preferred. This role is a leadership position in a unionized slitting and converting department with a focus on team building, quality, safety, and operational efficiency. The company is a private, vertically integrated manufacturer that recently completed a $100M facility upgrade and plans further expansion in Wisconsin. What You Will Be Doing Lead daily shift operations for 25–30 hourly employees. Administer the union contract and enforce plant policies, managing performance, attendance, and training. Drive quality assurance initiatives, including in‑process QC and corrective actions with the technical team. Coordinate and execute departmental safety programs to promote a zero‑incident culture. Oversee preventive maintenance and partner with maintenance on equipment reliability. Manage departmental supplies and inventory rotation to control costs. Identify equipment or process improvements to enhance efficiency and output. Support departmental goals across safety, quality, productivity, and cost containment. What We Are Looking For Leadership: 7–10 years supervisory experience in manufacturing; candidates with slightly less experience considered. Union Relations: Proven experience managing in a unionized facility; contract administration experience highly preferred. People Focus: Exceptional communication and team‑building instincts; ability to motivate a diverse workforce. Stability: Strong work history with longevity in previous organizations. Schedule Commitment: Full ability to work a rotating 12‑hour day/night shift schedule including alternating weekends. Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s degree or equivalent military/professional experience considered.
