Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Tryfacta is seeking qualified Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a full-time contract opportunity at Columbus Medical Group in Columbus, Mississippi.This opportunity involves providing patient care services. The ideal candidate will have an active, unrestricted LPN/LVN license, a commitment to quality patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.Location: Columbus, MS 39710 Client: Department of Defense – Defense Health Agency (DHA) Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–4:30 PM Contract Duration: 12-month base contract with potential extensionsWork schedule for each labor category will be between 0730- 1630, Monday through Friday. Each shift includes an uncompensated one-hour (60 minute) lunch break. Schedule will be set at the discretion of their MTF section by their assigned supervisor and/or Flight Leadership. Contractors will not exceed 40 hours per week. The Contractor must provide projection of anticipated vacation day(s) or personal matters at least three (3) months in advance if possible. Any late requests made after the clinic schedule has been published must be routed and approved through their assigned supervisor and/or Flight Leadership.Key Responsibilities:Initiate, perform and complete assigned duties in providing care to variable patient populations. Complete assigned patient care based on the patients' conditions, use judgment in selecting the appropriate order and sequence of procedures and treatments, and accurately recognize, report and record relevant patient information. Observe, identify and respond to the patient's needs for care, including medication, equipment-assisted care and patient/family education. Prepare and administer prescribed medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular and/or intravenous) and perform treatments according to established policies/procedures. Recognize urgent or emergent patient care situations, seek assistance of the RN and/or MD/DO, and initiate appropriate emergency interventions as directed. Perform support duties for complex diagnostic tests and/or specialized practices or procedures, which include preparing the patient, assisting in the diagnostic examination, preparing and handling specialized instruments or other specialized equipment, and monitoring the patient's condition before, during, and following the procedure. Orient peers and ancillary personnel to unit policies and procedures, skills, and standards of practice. Integrate healthy work environment principles that result in improved patient healthcare delivery, education of patients and their families and employee satisfaction.Required Qualifications:Graduation from a State Board of Nursing-approved LPN/LVN training program or equivalent qualifying military training.Current, full, active, and unrestricted LPN/LVN license.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as required by the contract.Must be a U.S. citizen.Ability to successfully complete the required federal background investigation and facility screening.Ability to comply with applicable DHA and facility training, health, and occupational requirements.Tryfacta is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
