What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical/telemetry patients, including those with sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, PNA, and post-op recoveries such as joint replacements and abdominal surgeries.
• Monitor and assess patient condition, utilizing Telemetry equipment to ensure cardiac stability.
• Administer medications, wound care, and manage drains, JP drains, wound vacs, and hemodialysis catheters.
• Support patient safety and comfort, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Document patient care accurately within the Meditech Expanse EMR system.
• Support unit operations, including floating to other Med/Surg units as needed, and participate in hospital orientation and training.
• Adhere to hospital protocols, maintain compliance, and uphold infection control standards.
• Work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment ensuring high-quality patient care.

What You Need

• Virginia RN license or eligibility to practice in Louisiana
• 2+ years of recent acute care RN experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Strong wound management skills, including JP drains, wound vacs, and catheter care
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
