Join us in our mission to save lives.ResponsibilitiesFor two to three companies:Prepare and enter journal entries as well as all bank activity.Approve accounts payable batch runs.Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts.Assist with month-end closing tasks.Maintain fixed asset schedules and related depreciation.Determine accruals and prepaids.Use inventory counts to determine ending inventory and cost of goods sold.Generate amortization schedules and maintain appropriate short-term/long-term classifications for company debt.Use data from payroll software to book payroll and related tax entries.Assist in preparation of financial statements and related reports.Calculate and file monthly B&O tax reports.Assist with annual review, compilation and tax return engagements in collaboration with the Assistant Controller and outside accounting firm.File personal property tax reports.Keep business license filings up to date.Investigate questionable data and recommend actions to resolve discrepancies.Proactively problem solve by identifying causes of issue, obtaining full understanding and documenting appropriately after remediation.Collaborate with peers, management, and outside companies to achieve continuous improvements and best practices for the department.Maintain strict confidentiality.Perform all other duties/responsibilities as necessary or assigned.QualificationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in AccountingUnderstanding of accrual based accountingAbility to process functions and formulas (VLOOKUP, SUMIF and pivot tables) in Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsIt is preferred an individual have:One to three years' general accounting experienceSage 100 experiencePhysical Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:Regularly : sit, grasp, reach, talk, and hearOccasionally : stand, bend, stoop/crouch, walk, lift up to 30 pounds, pull/push up to 30 pounds, and carry up to 30 poundsVision: clearly see up to 5 feet with or without corrective lensesWorkplace Environmental Conditions While performing the essential duties/responsibilities of this job, the employee will not be exposed to any workplace environmental conditions caused by extreme noise, heat, cold, workplace hazards, atmospheric dust/fumes/vapors/mists, pathogens, or toxic chemicals.Salary DOE – $27.92 - $40.49Benefit Information
