Site Manager – Airport Operations

Location: Fort Myers, FL – Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Starting Salary: $118,000 annually
Bonus: Eligible for Annual Discretionary Management Bonus Plan
Schedule: 24/7 Airport Operation

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to lead airport operations at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers, Florida.

This is a full-site leadership position with responsibility for operations, staffing, customer relationships, safety, contract performance, and financial results.

The Site Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation and all site staff while serving as a key point of contact for the customer.

This is not a general facilities management position. Candidates must have direct Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) operations and maintenance experience.

The position is associated with a contract currently being bid. Qualified candidates are being identified now so the hiring process can move quickly if the contract is awarded.

What You'll Own

• Overall day-to-day operational and administrative performance of the site
• Baggage Handling Systems operations and maintenance
• Leadership and supervision of all site staff
• Hiring, recruiting, training, and development
• Employee performance, work assignments, and personnel relations
• Customer relationships and regular performance meetings
• Contract requirements and service-level expectations
• Safety and OSHA compliance
• Site budgeting and financial performance
• Payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and capital expenditures
• Operational processes, quality standards, and continuous improvement
• Staffing and coverage within a 24/7 airport operation

Required Experience

• Minimum 3 years of Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) operations and maintenance experience
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience
• Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline and/or minimum 4 years of equivalent related experience
• Supervisory experience within a service industry
• Airport supervisory experience preferred
• Documented project management or organizational development experience
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Experience leading teams and managing day-to-day operational performance
• Strong customer-facing and relationship-management skills
• Ability to manage budgets, payroll, financial reporting, and operational priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and related applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule within a 24/7 operation

We're looking for someone who can lead the people and the operation — managing BHS performance, staffing, safety, customer expectations, and financial results while taking ownership of the entire site.
