About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Software Engineering to lead a large team of engineers in the development of digital learning products. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and driving the engineering strategy, leading and developing experienced engineering leaders, and building systems that foster the growth and success of the engineering organization. This role requires a leader with a strong technical background, superior financial acumen, and a proven track record of delivering scaled software products. The VP will also be tasked with recruiting top talent, designing scalable engineering organizations, and partnering with product, sales, and marketing teams to ensure that technology investments align with business priorities. Candidates for the VP of Software Engineering position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 15 years of professional experience, and a minimum of 8 years in senior engineering leadership roles. The role demands a leader with a keen business sense, the ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders, and a strong focus on usability, accessibility, and scalability. Experience in the EdTech industry, particularly in the higher education market, and with data-driven products, is highly valued. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, collaborative team player with exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to influence outcomes.
