Senior Community Health Nurse - 64067009The Florida Department of Health in Polk County is seeking a Senior Community Health Nurse. This position offers a salary range of $66,000 - $69,340 annually. You will follow all local, state, and federal rules and regulations, assist physicians and APRNs with exams and procedures, interpret and educate clients on the provider's plan of care, and document accurately in the Electronic Health Record.The role also involves case management, including assessing needs, planning with families, and providing emotional support. You will be cross-trained to work independently in various areas and may need to travel to cover other clinics within the county.Required knowledge includes nursing principles, agency policies, human anatomy, and the ability to administer medications and perform physical assessments. Skills in communication, teamwork, and flexibility are essential.
