RN - SICU

SICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care in our Surgical Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the SICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery processes.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records.
• Participate in unit meetings and professional development opportunities.
• May float to various ICU floors as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a critical care setting.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records is necessary.
• Ability to care for COVID-19 patients in compliance with safety protocols.
• Tobacco and fragrance-free commitment required.

Work Schedule

• Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00).
• Must be able to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas, New Year's).
• Every other weekend commitment is required.
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO).
