We are currently hiring Substitute Teachers, Aides, and Assistants, for our associated schools in the areas of Venice and Manhattan beach, Santa Fe Springs, East Los Angeles, Echo Park, West Hollywood, South Los Angeles, and the surrounding areas for the upcoming August 2026- June 2027 school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in delivering educational activities that support student development
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment
• Prepare and manage classroom materials
• Support students’ individual learning and development through observation and documentation
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
• Duties:
• Provides support in the classroom/outdoor play to ensure a safe and educational environment.
• Assists the classroom in maintaining the hygiene and personal needs of the children.
• Assists with weekly planning and implementation of daily educational activities for children.
• Assist in preparing classroom materials.
• Assist in sanitizing and maintaining a clean environment.
• Makes observations (written and/or verbal notations) of the children.
• Supports the social, emotional, physical, and developmental needs of each child.
• Maintains good communication with parents and co-workers.
• Must be able to assist with cleaning; sanitize, disinfect, sweep, mop and vacuum.

• Takes advantage of all educational opportunities for professional growth.

Substitute Teachers, Aides, and Assistants, for our associated schools in the areas of Venice and Manhattan beach, Santa Fe Springs, East Los Angeles, Echo Park, West Hollywood, South Los Angeles, and the surrounding areas for the upcoming August 2026- June 2027 school year.

We highly encourage college students (preferably majoring in Child Development) to apply but it is NOT REQUIRED .

Individuals with little to no experience or no units are welcome to apply; However, experience in Childcare or a Preschool setting is a PLUS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Must be able to assist other school sites in the surrounding areas of YOLO County (if needed)

The Teacher prepares the classroom materials and plans providing quality learning experiences for young children assisting in the implementation of methods that promote independence, curiosity, decision making, cooperation, persistence, creativity, and problem solving in young children.

Qualifications:

• Qualifications:

• First time working with children? No problem, we can train you!
• Experience in Head Start, Montessori, or Childcare Center (Preferred) .
• Minimum 3 units in ECE and enrolled
• 12 units in Child Development/Early Childhood or related field (Required for Lead Teachers).
• A.A. or B.A. in Child Development or Early Childhood (Preferred) Required for Lead Teachers. Teachers with 24 units in ECE.
• Associate Teacher Permit (Preferred) Required for Lead Teachers. Must have 12 ECE units
