Insurance Premium Payment Associate

Overview City/State: Virginia Beach, VA Work Shift: First (Days) Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift Standard Working Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST, Monday to Friday No weekends required Position Location: Hybrid work schedule at Sentara Park 1300 in Virginia Beach. After successful completion of on-site training for up to 4 weeks, and depending on performance, the position will have the opportunity to work from home 3 days a week. Responsibilities Insurance Premium Payment Associate is responsible for recording and processing telephonic payment inquiries throughout the day in a higher-volume call queue environment. Responsibilities include: Take initial and ongoing payments for insurance products while maintaining a high level of customer service. Work concurrently in multiple computer programs. Maintain a high level of service while managing changing call volume demands. Qualifications & Experience Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Certification/Licensure: No specific certification or licensure required. Experience: 1 year of customer service experience (required). Payment and/or billing experience in healthcare highly preferred. Call center experience required; detail-oriented highly preferred. Skills: Strong computer skills and verbal skills in English (required). Healthcare environment experience a plus. Reliable transportation essential to success in the role.
