Position Type: Full-Time / Temporary-to-Hire
Location: Arlington, TX

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team and support the daily maintenance operations of a multifamily community. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with apartment maintenance, make-readies, HVAC troubleshooting, and completing resident work orders. A strong work ethic, customer service mindset, and ability to work independently are essential for this role.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned resident work orders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform apartment make-ready preparation, including repairs, touch-ups, and ensuring units are ready for move-in.
  • Troubleshoot and assist with basic HVAC and A/C-related issues.
  • Perform general apartment maintenance repairs including:
    • Plumbing repairs
    • Electrical troubleshooting
    • Appliance repairs
    • Drywall repairs
    • Painting
    • Carpentry
    • Lock and hardware repairs
  • Conduct preventative maintenance throughout the community.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assist with maintaining community amenities and common areas.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, management, and the maintenance team.
  • Report safety concerns, needed repairs, and inventory needs to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Previous apartment maintenance or residential maintenance experience preferred.
  • Experience completing make-ready turns and resident work orders.
  • Strong knowledge of basic HVAC systems and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, standing, climbing, and working outdoors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HVAC certification is a plus but not required.
  • EPA Certification preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Experience working in multifamily communities preferred.

I also adjusted it so it doesn't oversell HVAC certification since Ben doesn't have it , but still highlights his A/C knowledge and multifamily experience.
