Cash Applications Specialist

Cash Applications Specialist (BBBH26309) Irving, Texas Financial Additions is seeking a detail-oriented Cash Application and Reconcilations Specialist for a 4+ month contract role in Irving. This is an onsite position, with possible work-from-home opportunities on occasion. Responsibilities include: Accurately post ACH, wire, credit card, and refund payments to customer accounts within established timelines. Research and resolve unapplied cash, unidentified payments, discrepancies, and payment exceptions. Reconcile bank deposits and unapplied balances to D365 postings and assist with month-end close. Process refunds and small-balance write-offs while following internal controls and SOX requirements. Communicate with customers and internal departments to resolve payment issues and discrepancies. Maintain accurate cash application records and support process improvements and automation initiatives. Assist with special projects and other cash management activities as needed. Qualifications include: 2+ years of experience as a Cash Application Specialist, or an Accounts Receivable role with cash applicattion and reconciliation duties. Experience handling ACH, wires, credit cards, refunds, and other payment methods. Strong reconciliation, research, and problem-solving skills. Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. D365 experience; cash application or posting automation, is a plus. Knowledge of GAAP and SOX controls preferred. Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Associate's degree or some college preferred. #INDD #ZR #J-18808-Ljbffr
