Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts | 36 guaranteed hours per week, up to 40 hours per week | 13 weeks (extension to 26 weeks possible) | Intermittent call required | On-call coverage currently extends to 6:00 PM Monday–Friday and 7:00 AM–7:00 PM Saturday and Sunday | No scheduled weekend hours — emergency on-call only | Holiday coverage varies — facility is closed most major holidays with emergency on-call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases of surgical procedures
• Function within a surgery department setting with no float requirements outside of the surgical unit
• Participate in intermittent on-call coverage as scheduled, including weekend emergency on-call
• Maintain compliance with all facility vaccination and health documentation requirements
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes throughout the perioperative continuum

Required Qualifications

• Current Indiana or multistate RN license
• AHA BLS certification required at time of submission
• ACLS certification required at time of submission
• PALS certification required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
• Must meet all vaccination documentation requirements: Hepatitis B series or positive titer, MMR series or positive titer, Varicella series, positive titer, or physician's written proof of immunity, Tdap within the past 10 years, annual flu vaccine (required October 1–April 1, no exemptions for contracted employees), COVID-19 vaccination documentation if applicable, and two TB skin tests, one Quantiferon Gold, or one chest X-ray within the past 12 months

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with conscious sedation (please indicate at time of submission if applicable)
• Interest in or availability for contract extension up to 26 weeks (please note at time of submission if open to extension)
