Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years recent Emergency Department experience License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role: - 3+ years recent Emergency Department experience Description: TNCC required. Unit information includes 11 beds and 28 staff members. The daytime staff consists of a charge nurse and RNs, while the nighttime staff includes a charge nurse and RNs. Patient ratios are 1:2-3. Equipment used includes Phillips monitors, HillRom beds, Omnicell, GE EKG machines, Lifepak 20e defibrillators, Lucas devices, and Verathon bladder scanners. EMR system is Meditech Expanse. Typical procedures performed include STEMI protocol, Stroke protocol, Conscious Sedation, Chest Tubes, Codes, Intubation, Laceration repair, Antivenom infusion, and ortho splinting by RNs. Looking for candidates with a friendly demeanor, honesty, flexibility, ability to multi-task, compassion, and strong teamwork skills. Candidates should possess superb critical thinking skills and a sense of urgency when necessary. Availability for every other weekend is required.
