Bob Jenson Air Conditioning, Heating & Plumbing is a locally owned San Diego company that has proudly served the community for more than 45 years. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Comfort Advisor to join our team, meeting with homeowners throughout San Diego County to assess their comfort needs, educate them on available HVAC solutions, and provide customized recommendations that improve the comfort, efficiency, and reliability of their home.

This role is ideal for a confident, professional, and consultative salesperson who understands that successful in-home sales are built on trust, transparency, product knowledge, and exceptional customer service. You will represent Bob Jenson throughout the sales process and play a key role in creating a positive customer experience while achieving individual and company sales goals.

• Commission-based sales position with earnings directly tied to sales performance

• Spiffs and additional earning opportunities

• Additional compensation details, including commission structure, bonuses, and incentives, will be discussed during the interview process

• Conduct in-home consultations with homeowners to understand their comfort concerns, equipment needs, budget, and expectations.

• Perform thorough assessments of existing HVAC systems and identify opportunities for replacement, upgrades, repairs, and improved energy efficiency.

• Recommend HVAC systems and comfort solutions appropriate for the customer's home and specific needs.

• Drive new sales and revenue through professional, consultative selling consistent with Bob Jenson's integrity and customer-care standards.

• Deliver professional and engaging sales presentations using approved company processes, materials, pricing, and selling techniques.

• Clearly explain equipment options, system features, efficiency ratings, warranties, financing options, and available promotions.

• Educate customers on the benefits of high-efficiency equipment, indoor air quality products, smart home technology, maintenance programs, and other comfort solutions.

• Build trust and rapport with homeowners by listening carefully, asking thoughtful questions, and providing honest recommendations.

• Effectively communicate the value of proposed solutions and confidently address customer questions and objections.

• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to generate referrals, repeat business, and long-term customer loyalty.

• Maintain accurate customer and sales information within the company's CRM and other required systems.

• Follow up with customers as needed to answer questions, address concerns, and advance opportunities toward a successful close.

• Work closely with installation, service, dispatch, and management teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to installation.

• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the company in customers' homes.

• Consistently meet or exceed established sales, revenue, closing, and customer satisfaction goals.

• Stay current on HVAC equipment, technology, financing programs, promotions, and industry developments.

• Continuously refine sales, communication, and customer service skills through coaching, training, and ongoing development.

• Minimum of 2 years of outside, in-home HVAC sales experience required.

• HVAC industry experience or familiarity with residential HVAC systems strongly preferred.

• Proven ability to build rapport, establish trust, and effectively communicate with homeowners.

• Strong consultative selling and closing skills.

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to explain technical information in a clear and easy-to-understand manner.

• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Comfortable working directly with customers in their homes.

• Ability to handle objections professionally and confidently.

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

• Ability to use a CRM, tablet, computer, and other technology to document sales activity and customer information.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, based on customer demand.
