Clinical Exercise Physiologist

Job Title: Clinical Exercise Physiologist / Metabolic Testing Specialist Location: Charlottesville, VA Job Type: Part-Time with Full-Time Potential Reports To: Owner Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented, passionate, and client-focused Clinical Exercise Physiologist / Metabolic Testing Specialist to join our growing team in Charlottesville. In this role, you will conduct high-level metabolic testing, translate physiological data into clear, actionable insights and guide clients toward their weight loss, longevity and performance goals. Key Responsibilities Diagnostic Testing & Data Collection: Administer metabolic assessments including Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) testing and VO2max testing. Administer DEXA scans for body composition analysis. Maintain, calibrate, and clean specialized testing equipment. Client Consultation & Coaching: Review, analyze, and interpret results to create personalized, data-driven guidance for clients. Conduct one-on-one consultations to explain testing outcomes in an approachable, actionable manner. Collaborate with clients to establish tailored strategies around exercise programming, energy balance, and health optimization. Facility & Operational Support: Manage appointment scheduling, client onboarding, and digital record-keeping with strict accuracy. Represent the brand with exceptional professionalism, empathy, and active listening. Assist in local community outreach, networking, and partner referral relationships in the Charlottesville area. Qualifications & Skills Education & Credentials: Master’s degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or a related clinical field. ACSM-CEP (Clinical Exercise Physiologist) preferred. Current CPR/AED certification required. Experience & Expertise: Demonstrated experience administering metabolic, cardiorespiratory, or functional physiological testing preferred. Strong foundational knowledge of energy metabolism, exercise prescription, and human performance.
