May require coordinating performance of subcontractors. Must understand and apply RCRA (Resource Conservation & Recovery Act of 1976), DOT & EPA regulations as they affect the packing, transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste.What You'll Do:Work in a safe manner while constantly aiming for no incidents or accidents.Know and understand all rules and regulations specific to the customer site.Align with all company policies, rules and guidelines.Prepare or confirm accuracy of all paperwork associated with shipping hazardous waste.Complete site inspections and audits.Arrange for samples and profiles to be submitted to TSDF (Treatment Storage Disposal Facility), coordinate expired profile program.Collaborating with organizational leaders and front-line teams to implement processes that utilize staff effectively, enhance service and continuously improve the work environmentAdhere to Univar and customer safety trainingPerform maintenance on equipment as neededOffload and onload chemical tankers as neededPerform rounds and readings and inspections as neededPerform lubrication maintenance as assignedPump down outdoor sumps as neededStrict adherence to documented proceduresAble to work inside or outside in all weather conditionsAbility to coordinate and help entire shift to complete all daily tasksCommunicate problems to management for escalationBecome highly technical in all areas of focus in scopeBe able to stand for many hours at a time if neededFollow and doff PPE requirements for each job assigned up to full Tyvek suits with respiratorsWork well within a team of dedicated technicians to perform at a high level with a focus on customer service skillsReceive orders for pickup of customer wastes; develop calendar for monthly and/or quarterly pickup schedule, if applicable. Coordinate pickups with Univar ChemCare office, transporters, and TSDF's as appropriate.
