Job Position: Warehouse Team Member
Location: Douglas, GA 31533 Pay Rate: $16.00/hr Shift: Weekend Nights. Either 6pm-4am or 5pm-5am dep on department. Saturday - Monday Description: Warehouse Team Member This role involves organizing loose merchandise from conveyor lines onto pallets based on their final destination.Freight Sorting: Unloading items from trailers or offloading them from automated conveyor "sorter"outputs.
Pallet Building: Stacking boxes onto pallets manually, ensuring they are stable (mounded) and properly organized by store department.
Quality & Safety: Inspecting freight for damage and ensuring pallets are securely shrink-wrapped before transport. Equipment Use: Operating manual jacks to move completed pallets to staging areas.
Batching Duties
Batchers focus on gathering and preparing multiple orders together to streamline the shipping process.
Order Gathering: Receiving "pick tickets"or batch orders and retrieving items from various warehouse locations.
System Interaction: Using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and hand-held scanners to verify product codes and quantities.
Shipment Prep: Assembling products into "batches"for efficient loading into trailers.
General Requirements & Environment
Physical Stamina: Must be able to lift up to 45-50 pounds frequently and stand for long shifts (10-12 hours).
Environment: Work often takes place in non-climate-controlled environments with extreme temperatures.
Pace: High productivity expectations with a focus on speed and accuracy.
