Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for managing and recording all incoming payments to the organization. This position ensures the accuracy of financial transactions, maintains up‑to‑date customer account information, and supports the finance team by generating invoices, reconciling accounts, and following up on outstanding balances. The clerk interacts regularly with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and provides essential reporting that supports financial decision‑making. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency with accounting software are critical for success in this role.

Essential Responsibilities :

• Process and record incoming payments, matching them to correct invoices.

• Generate and distribute accurate customer invoices.

• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies or billing errors.

• Monitor overdue accounts and initiate collection activities.

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing, payments, and account status.

• Prepare AR aging reports, cash flow summaries, and other financial statements.

• Assist with month-end closing processes and reconciliation of accounts.

• Collaborate with the finance team to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.

• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years in a similar job; or bachelor’s in accounting with minimal experience.

• Working knowledge of computers and electronic data processing Google Sheets, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Microsoft Excel is preferred is preferred.

• ERP previous exposure and understanding; Microsoft Dynamics BC is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

• Understanding of payments, accounting, and budgeting and working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.

• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, analytical, follow-up, and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to create useful and actionable reports from data.

• Possesses strong organizational skills and ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on a deadline.

• Possesses strong written and verbal communications skills.

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
