Assignment Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med Surg unit in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on delivering patient-centered care and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. The position requires flexibility and a commitment to ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: Not provided
• Facility Type: Acute Care
• Shift Details: 12-hour shifts, 0700-1930 and 1900-0730
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirements: Rotating holidays
• Floating Requirements: May float to ICU or Ottawa Campus
• Charting System: EPIC
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2538 (negotiable)

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and oversight with patient care technicians (PCT)
• Monitor telemetry strips with the assistance of virtual central telemetry monitoring
• Perform daily nursing care tasks including foley care, CHG bathing, and oral care
• Collaborate with a charge nurse and administrative supervisor

Qualifications

Required:

• Active IL license or confirmation of application process initiation
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
• Must produce a negative drug screen for all panels

Preferred:

• At least 2 years of experience
• Previous travel experience
• PALS certification
