Security Officer - Part Time Patrol

Security Officer - Part Time - Patrol in Ottawa, IL — you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more. This part‑time role offers flexibility; you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security‑related incidents. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $18.25 / Hour Job Schedule Friday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production, warehouse, office, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify security‑related concerns and/or policy violations. Monitor access points, verify credentials, and observe incoming and outgoing pedestrian and vehicle traffic to help support authorized entry and exit procedures. Assist with reporting hazards, disturbances, and/or operational concerns that could impact the location, while following post orders and Allied Universal guidelines. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
