CNC Operator

As a CNC / ACME / Tool & Die Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and ACME equipment to produce machined parts according to blueprint specifications. All work must adhere to nVent’s safety procedures and meet the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Set up and operate ACME, CNC, and Tool & Die equipment to produce high‑quality machined parts as specified by blueprints, layouts, and templates. Plan the sequence of operations using knowledge of materials. Assist in setting up and running multiple ACME, CNC, and Tool & Die machines simultaneously for a variety of products. Follow drawings, route sheets, schedules, and written and verbal instructions. Check materials for correct size and type. Use micrometers, calipers, scales, and fixed gauges to inspect work in process and ensure adherence to specifications. Move materials as required to complete duties. Install and verify safety devices as needed for specific jobs. Report faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to the supervisor. Complete required quality checks, documents, and production records. Observe all prescribed safety rules and maintain a neat and orderly work area. Perform other related duties as assigned, which may require extended shift hours or work weeks to meet company needs. Qualifications Knowledge of manufacturing processes. Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints. Experience using hand and power tools. Prior experience working in a light industrial facility preferred. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment and meet operational deadlines.
