Physical Therapist

The physical therapist is responsible for providing competent evaluation and treatment to outpatients and/or inpatients in compliance with hospital policies and procedures, JCAHO standards and the APTA code of ethics. The physical therapist will provide intervention to individuals who experience a loss of and/or deficiency in functional independence related to chronic, traumatic or developmental illness, impairment and/or disability. Interventions are developed with the patient and their family and/or significant other(s) as partners in the rehabilitation process. Other duties as assigned.

General responsibilities include remaining current with FL State PT License and BLS Certification, completing evaluations within time frames set by departmental policy, demonstrating proficiency in basic evaluative skills, attending at least one conference/workshop per year, and including other disciplines and team members as resources during care planning process.
