Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in an acute care setting. The role involves working primarily with ventilators, performing various respiratory treatments, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer aerosol treatments and manage Bipap therapy.
• Conduct ventilator management and troubleshooting.
• Assist with intubation, arterial line insertion, and bedside bronchoscopy.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with nursing and medical staff.
• Utilize advanced respiratory equipment including Puritan Bennet 980 ventilators.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
• Experience in critical care and emergency care highly preferred.
• Ability to work within various inpatient units and rotation through ICUs.
