Job Description

This role focuses on assembling wiring harnesses by interpreting technical blueprints, performing precise cup soldering on terminals and connections, and accurately cutting and measuring wires. You will use hand tools and measuring devices to build high-quality electrical assemblies while following detailed schematics and length parameters.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics to assemble wiring harnesses according to specified requirements.

• Perform cup soldering of terminals, connections, and wire harness components using proper soldering techniques.

• Cut and measure wires accurately using rulers and other measuring tools to meet specified length parameters.

• Assemble wire harnesses and related components in the correct sequence and configuration based on technical documentation.

• Verify measurements, lengths, and connections to ensure assemblies meet quality and design standards.

• Use hand and finger dexterity to handle small components, wires, and soldering tools safely and efficiently.

• Perform repetitive assembly and soldering tasks while maintaining consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail.

• Follow safety procedures and best practices when working with soldering equipment and hand tools.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient workflow and product quality.

• Collaborate with team members and leads to resolve assembly issues and ensure production goals are met.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of recent, full-time soldering experience, including cup soldering of terminals and connections.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

• Ability to assemble wiring harnesses and related electrical components accurately.

• Ability to convert fractions to decimal values for precise measurement and cutting.

• Strong ruler reading skills and accurate measurement of wire lengths and components.

• Understanding of length parameters and dimensional requirements from blueprints.

• Demonstrated hand and finger dexterity for detailed assembly and soldering work.

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining high quality and consistency.

• Experience working with wire harnesses and related electrical assemblies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with basic hand tools and measuring devices used in electrical assembly.

• Comfort working from technical instructions and production documentation.

• Attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality, reliable assemblies.

Work Environment

This position operates on a first-shift schedule, working Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a shorter workday from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Fridays. The role is based in a production environment where you will work at benches or assembly stations using soldering equipment, hand tools, and measuring devices such as rulers. The work involves standing or sitting for extended periods, performing repetitive hand movements, and handling small components and wires. The environment emphasizes safety, precision, and consistency while maintaining a structured schedule that supports work-life balance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
