Novant Health Sports Medicine Athletic Trainer

Novant Health Sports Medicine is hiring a full time Athletic Trainer to support Davie County High School. At Novant Health, Athletic Trainers must be licensed in the appropriate state, act under the supervision of a physician and must adhere to the protocols and guidelines as required by the licensing agency. Athletic trainers also promote Novant Health and the Sports Medicine team through outreach and education for health and wellness in the community.

What You'll Do:

• cover student athletic events during the week with occasional weekend coverage
• work on-site at Davie County High School managing everyday sports medicine needs, evaluating injuries on the field, and guiding students and parents/guardians through safe recovery and rehabilitation

What We're Looking For:

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree, required. Graduate from an accredited athletic training program, required. Graduate Degree, preferred.
• Experience: 2 years, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current AT licensure in appropriate state with the ability to acquire additional state licenses as required prior to first day of employment, required. Successfully pass BOC exam, required. Hold or ability to hold AHA BLS First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification, required. Hold or ability to hold CSCS, PES, BFR, Dry Needling or similar, preferred.
• Additional Skills Required: Excellent Customer Service, Written and Oral Communication, basic computer application skills, and ability to multitask.
