GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Sr. IT Project Manager leads complex, cross-functional technology initiatives from discovery through implementation and stabilization, with particular emphasis on ERP and related enterprise systems. This role coordinates projects across multiple business units, translates business needs into clear execution plans, and keeps internal teams, executive stakeholders, and external vendors aligned. The ideal candidate brings disciplined project management, exceptional organization, strong vendor relationship skills, and the agility to deliver in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Full-Lifecycle Project Leader: Lead complex IT projects through initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, closing, and post-implementation stabilization. Ensure scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, and business outcomes remain aligned.
• ERP Development Driver: Direct development efforts for ERP and related systems, coordinating requirements, solution design, configuration, integrations, data migration, testing, training, cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities.
• Artifact Architect: Develop and maintain the project charter, business case, scope, work breakdown structure, schedule, resource plan, budget, RACI, RAID log, communications plan, status reports, decision log, change requests, cutover plan, and lessons learned.
• Cross-Functional Conductor: Coordinate project work across multiple business units and functional teams. Establish governance, clarify ownership, manage dependencies, facilitate decisions, and keep teams moving toward shared objectives.
• Vendor Relationship Builder: Build trusted, productive relationships with software vendors, implementation partners, consultants, and other suppliers. Set clear expectations, manage statements of work and deliverables, track commitments, and escalate issues constructively.
• Communication Champion: Create clear, audience-appropriate communications for project teams, business leaders, executives, and steering committees. Surface critical decisions, risks, issues, dependencies, and changes early - no surprises.
• Risk and Issue Navigator: Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies. Lead root-cause analysis, develop mitigation and contingency plans, and drive timely resolution of blockers.
• Change Control Steward: Lead scope and change-control processes, evaluate impacts, document decisions, and ensure approved changes are reflected in project plans, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communications.
• Resource and Budget Manager: Forecast and coordinate internal and external resources, manage competing priorities, monitor project financials, and ensure teams have the information and support needed to deliver.
• Adoption Partner: Partner with business leaders and change stakeholders to support readiness, process adoption, training, and transition to operational ownership.
• Best Practice Builder: Apply project management best practices and continuously improve templates, governance, reporting, and delivery processes to make execution more consistent, transparent, and effective.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 8+ years of project management or program management experience, including leadership of complex enterprise technology initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience managing ERP and related systems implementations through the full project life cycle.
• Proven success coordinating projects across multiple business units, functional areas, and levels of leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong vendor relationships and manage implementation partners, contracts, statements of work, deliverables, and escalations.
• In-depth understanding of project management phases, governance, artifacts, dependencies, and critical stakeholder communications.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to complete projects according to defined scope, budget, timeline, quality, and business objectives.
• Strong knowledge of waterfall, agile, and hybrid delivery approaches, with the judgment to apply the right method for the work.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, facilitation, and decision-making skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, executive presence, and the ability to influence without direct authority.
• Strong familiarity with project management and collaboration tools, methodologies, and best practices. Knowledge of Confluence is helpful.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
