Software Engineer in Test

Test Automation Engineer

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain a scalable test automation framework covering UI and API testing
• Create and maintain automated test coverage for the application’s most important user and system workflows
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines so tests run consistently with every build and release
• Run test suites against existing test environments and troubleshoot failures to determine whether they come from the code or the environment
• Use automation to triage and manage high volumes of test failures and defects, while performing manual testing as needed
• Validate new code each sprint, uncovering defects and missing functionality and documenting them clearly
• Weigh in on release readiness decisions before each deployment
• Provide weekly status updates on quality goals and raise potential risks before they become problems
• Partner with software engineers on test strategy and identify areas where coverage is thin

What You Bring

• At least five years of experience in quality assurance or test engineering, with a track record of building an automation framework from the ground up
• Deep experience automating both UI and API tests, ideally in TypeScript (comparable languages considered)
• Experience with modern automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
• Working exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps-driven environments, ideally GitHub Actions, including running and maintaining automated tests within them
• Familiarity with AWS or a comparable cloud platform
• Comfort leveraging AI tools to create testing flows and speed up development and testing work
