Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Neurological Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU) to join a leading acute care hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. This permanent, full-time night-shift opportunity is ideal for a compassionate and skilled ICU nurse passionate about caring for patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions. Join a specialized neuroscience critical care team caring for patients with traumatic brain injuries, strokes, intracranial hemorrhages, spinal cord injuries, postoperative neurosurgical conditions, seizures, and other serious neurological disorders. Eligible candidates relocating to Hawaii may receive up to $11,000 in relocation assistance. The position also offers competitive hourly pay, a night-shift differential, and complimentary on-campus parking.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced, high-acuity Neuro ICU environment.
• Care for patients with traumatic brain injuries, strokes, intracranial hemorrhages, spinal cord injuries, seizures, and other serious neurological disorders.
• Support patients recovering from neurosurgical procedures and other complex neurological conditions.
• Apply critical care nursing expertise to support patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Communicate effectively in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Hawaii, or eligibility to obtain the required Hawaii RN license upon acceptance, subject to employer requirements.
• Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN).
• At least 12 months of ICU RN experience, preferably within the last three years.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, or ability to obtain it within three months of starting employment.
• Effective English communication skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
• Ability to provide safe, high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced, high-acuity critical care environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
