The successful candidate will demonstrate superior on-camera communication skills as well as the ability to engage in spontaneous conversation with other members of the on-air team. Weekday responsibilities include live reporting 3 evenings a week for the nightside news. Other newscasts as assigned.• Write and copy edit stories under deadline.• Work closely with the rest of the on air and off air team to produce a marketleading newscast.• On reporting days, identify and pitch multiple story possibilities.• On reporting days, gather, shoot, write and edit news stories under deadline.• In some instances, work directly with photojournalists to produce stories.• Report live from the scene of various news stories.• Produce a digital version of each broadcast story.• Produce mobile short stories in real time as stories are breaking and developingHere’s What You Need:• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or communication preferred.• Three to five years of experience in daily electronic journalism, including regularopportunities to anchor newscasts.• Thorough understanding of journalism practices and ethics.• Curiosity.APPLY BY: APPLY BY: The application deadline for this position is Oct 12, 2026, RELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDEDPay Range$100,000—$115,000 USDBenefits: TEGNA offers comprehensive benefits designed to safeguard the physical, mental and financial health of our employees and their families.
